royal houses. Unfortunately, this has become a subscription-only site.

this complex and often obscure subject matter. The maps are very detailed
and worthy of very high praise.
A complete sequence of brief biographies of English and Scottish sovereigns.
An enormous archive of precisely the sort of information I present myself,
with some additions I've been thinking about as well (primarily, the maps
and family trees). I think the only thing I have to offer is that I cover
a wider and longer database than they at present. This is one subsection
of a very large site devoted to the different aspects of a particular philosophy
of science; if you move down the index, you will see where the charts and
tables are: they take up most of the subdirectory, but there are essays
and general data as well.
Mondiale Henrio, Patrice. In French. The homepage of
a program which displays historical maps and allows the user to adjust
time and location, permitting one to gain a clear idea of the expansion
and shrinking of states as they evolve. The current version has data on
early Classic empires from the Mediterranean to China. This is an important
project - one that I always wanted to do myself - Patrice has turned it
into a reality.

archive of color illustrations of national and regional banners.
